After several years in the accounting department of a major electrical distributor, Amy Barrett took a bold step into sales with a commercial lighting manufacturer’s rep agency. It was there she discovered a passion for delivering exceptional client service—something she quickly realized is the true differentiator in a commodity-driven industry.

When the economy shifted in 2012, Amy saw an opportunity to pivot. She returned to school to pursue her accounting degree while working full-time at a small firm in Roswell, Georgia. Her dedication paid off: after earning her degree and passing the CPA exam, Amy purchased the very firm where she got her start—launching her own accounting practice.

​

Since then, Amy’s firm has flourished, seeing significant growth in 2025 as more clients have come to rely on her strategic insight, hands-on approach, and unwavering commitment to service.

Outside the office, Amy enjoys spending time with her family and dogs, reading a good book, and tackling the occasional home improvement project.

Senior Staff Accountant

Elizabeth joined Barrett Accounting & Tax Services in March 2025, bringing with her a wealth of experience from years in public accounting with another well-established firm in Cumming, GA. Though new to our team, she’s no stranger to the world of numbers—or people.

Before stepping into accounting, Elizabeth’s passion for animals led her to a rewarding career in the pet care industry, where she sharpened her hospitality and customer service skills. Her career took a turn in 2013 when a financial accounting course, taken during her business administration studies, sparked a new professional calling. Since then, she’s been all in—especially when it comes to helping family-owned and small businesses succeed.

​

Outside the office, Elizabeth is most at home in nature. Summers find her camping by Lake Lanier, swimming, and jet-skiing with her dogs. In the cooler months, she enjoys riding motorcycles through the North Georgia mountains with her husband. Whether she’s balancing books or cruising winding roads, Elizabeth brings energy, care, and a personal touch to everything she does.

Staff Accountant

Rylee Ovrevik joined Barrett Accounting & Tax Services with a solid foundation in both accounting and client service. A proud graduate of the University of North Georgia’s Mike Cottrell College of Business, she earned her BBA in Accounting in July 2024 and was an active member of Beta Alpha Psi.

Before coming to Barrett Accounting, Rylee spent four years at Pekay Goldens & Gold Leaf Pet Resort, where she wore multiple hats—first as an animal handler and later as a staff accountant and dog trainer. There, she was responsible for monthly bookkeeping, year-end accounting, and tax preparation, gaining hands-on experience that now benefits her clients every day.  

​

She also interned at Smith and Bennett PC CPAs, where she worked on bookkeeping, prepared client-ready tax returns, and helped manage tax documents and filings. Additionally, Rylee volunteered with the IRS-sponsored Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, completing tax returns for low-income individuals in the community.

Rylee brings a unique blend of precision, patience, and a passion for helping others succeed. When she’s not crunching numbers, she enjoys reading and working with her dog, Sabrina—who’s always up for learning a new trick.

Staff Accountant/Office Administrator

Dalia Soria brings both experience and enthusiasm to her dual role as Staff Accountant and Office Administrator at Barrett Accounting & Tax Services. A graduate of Lanier Technical College with a degree in Business Management and a background in accounting coursework, Dalia first teamed up with Amy during their time at a small accounting firm in Roswell. She worked alongside her for two tax seasons, quickly becoming a trusted and capable member of the team.

​

When the opportunity arose to serve as an Operating Room Technician, Dalia embraced the challenge and has continued to work evenings in that capacity—proving she’s as dedicated as she is versatile. Now, she’s thrilled to be back working with Amy and contributing to the growth of the firm.

​

Dalia keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes and supports both clients and staff with her positive energy and keen attention to detail.

Outside of the office, she enjoys the great outdoors, spending quality time with her family, and diving into a good thriller novel whenever she gets the chance.
